I know I am partial...
but Lee Corso makes me angry! Arkansas is the only undefeated team in the SEC (I know their toughtest games are coming up) but Corso never even mentions the Hogs when talking about the SEC Championship Game. Perhaps Corso should spend some time on YouTube and revisit THIS game!

Arkansas Razorbacks piledrive USC Trojan return, football
I have been spending way too much time on YouTube, but I did find this video of Dallas Washington's tacke from the USC game. I don't guess I have seen a replay of it since seeing it on the PigScreen at the game. I certainly don't want anyone hurt in a game, but this hit was awesome!

Our friends John and Karen

I thought this was so sweet. I wonder if this will be me some day.

Arkansas vs. Southeast Missouri

Although Saturday's game was not close, there were several exciting moments. However, the highlight of the game had to be Keith Jackson, Jr's interception for a touchdown. To quote Hogwired.com, "Jackson provided perhaps the most entertaining play of the day when he intercepted a pass and returned it 69 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. The pick was the first interception by the Razorbacks this season and was the longest interception return for a touchdown since linebacker Jermaine Petty raced 88 yards for a touchdown against Auburn in 2001." After the touchdown, they showed Keith, Sr's reaction up in the pressbox. It was quite a special moment.
I can't wait for Ole Miss!

Fall Ball
So am I the only one NOT disappointed the Yankees didn't make the play-offs?There was a time when I followed baseball closely. You could have pretty much given me any player's name, and I could have told you what team he was on and what position he played. I was a big Mets fan back in the days of Howard Johnson, Daryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden and Mookie Wilson. In the late 80s and early 90s, my sons got me to following the Braves as well. I was a Braves fan, unless they were playing the Mets.
I'm not sure how it happened, but I have not followed baseball very closely the last three or four years. I guess other things just got in the way. Nevertheless, this time of year is always exciting; between the fall classic in MLB and football, is there a season that is any more exciting? I love the play-offs and the series.
This year's NLCS features the Mets and the Cardinals. I'll be in the minority around here since most Arkansans are St. Louis fans, but my loyalty is with the Mets. So, let's go Mets. Regardless of who wins, I will always pull for the National League when it comes to the Series. So I'm warming up the HD video projector and pulling down the 8 foot screen; I got my replica Mets jersey out from the back of the closet; it's time to be a baseball groupie again.

Things I Find Annoying...cont'd
I forgot one:Rocky Top - The only good thing about Saturday's comeback victory by Tennesse over Georgia was being able to turn down the volume and avoid hearing Rocky Top.
An Alabama fan and a Tennessee fan were fighting side-by-side in World War II, and both were captured and sentenced to die by firing squad. The Tennessean was stood up before the firing squad and the guard asked him if he had any last request. He thought for a second, then asked them to play Rocky Top one last time. From the side, the Aabama fan shouted out "Then please shoot me first!!"

How 'Bout Them Hogs?

I think even the most zealous Razorback fans were shocked by Saturday's win over the 2nd ranked Auburn Tigers. It seemed that most fans had reconciled this game as a loss and were moving on to just dreaming about possibly winning the rest of them. Apparently, someone forgot to tell the team. Even though the Hogs never trailed, I was even more nauseous through this game than I was during the overtime against Alabama two weeks ago. When we went up 10-0, I started getting feeling ill. I just kept waiting for things to go wrong. Visions of last year against Auburn kept appearing in my mind. It was not until Davis kicked the field goal to put the Hogs up 27-10 that I began to relax. It still took a couple of hours after the game for it to completely sink in. It was amazing.
Amidst all the celebrating, there was one sobering thought. Paul Eells would have loved it.

FBI Job Opening
The FBI had an opening for an assassin. After all the backgroundchecks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3
finalists...Two men and a woman.
For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door
and handed him a gun. "We must know that you
will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the
room you will find your wife sitting in a chair...Kill Her!!!"
The man said, "You can't be serious. I could never shoot my
wife."
The agent said, then you're not the right man for this job. Take your
wife and go home."
The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun
and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came
out with tears in his eyes, "I tried, but I can't kill my wife." The
agent said, "You don't have what it takes. Take your wife and go home."
Finally, it was the woman's turn. She was given the same
instructions, to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the
room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming,
crashing, banging on the walls... After a few minutes, all was
quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping the sweat
from her brow. "This gun is loaded with blanks" she said. "I had to beat
him to death with the chair."
